Some more eye candy - and a card!

OK - any many who cooks for me rates VERY highly.  Fortunately for me, my DH has already cooked twice this week, and last night told me what he's making for dinner tonight.  Unfortunately, it comes wrapped in newspaper!   Hey, at least I don't have to make it, right?!   That's so that I can fit in a game of squash, and still get out to Inglewood High School tonight to see my lovely ladies.    We are making a Christmas Card, a Vellum Card, AND a SHOE tonight.  Of course, what shoe would be complete without chocolate??  There's still time to join in the WITT class (either Monday night, or Tuesday morning) by phoning WITT.  They start NEXT WEEK.

This was my swap card for our M&M's meeting yesterday - it was inspired by a card made by Anita Meade, a very talented Australian Demo.  Our theme was Christmas Cards, and the cards are AMAZING!   I'll post some once it gets light enough to photograph them!

RECIPE : Stampsets : Solemn Stillness, Season of Joy, Short & Sweet (which is on special until tomorrow for just $28.76 plus shipping).  Cardstock/Ink : Purely Pomegranate, River Rock, Holiday Harmony DSP.  Accessories : Versamark, Gold EP, Double Stitched Purely Pomegranate Ribbon.

Have a great day!

If only.....

OK, so I've enjoyed a giggle or two - keep watching this space, as I've got more to show you, including my FAVOURITE!!  In fact, I've GOT to show you my favourite now - I can't wait!

!!    Now, I've got to share a story from Saturday with you all - you all know that I LOVE shoes, right??  Well, we went out to the bach to visit Mum & Dad on Saturday, and played cricket and all sorts, and when we were leaving, I had dirty feet from running around on the field, so I asked my DH to pick up my shoes as he walked out the door, as I had my arms full of food, and all sorts of other stuff.   We stopped to do some shopping on the way home, and when I asked "honey, where did you put my shoes?" I was met with the blank stare that tells you that he has forgotten!  Here I was with dirty bare feet, that I was hoping to hide in a pair of socks & shoes, and wanting to do some shopping.  My DH - full credit to him - replies without  hesitation "Don't worry about that.  We'll just stop and buy you a new pair!"   WOW.  That earned him infinite brownie points, I can tell you!   LOL.  Anyway - enjoy!

Class this Saturday

Good morning everyone - just letting you know about a couple of classes coming up soon.  This Saturday I have a 3D Card Class, where we will make a Peek-A-Boo card, a Tri-Fold Card, and another card (picture shown below) that I have no idea what-so-ever what it's called!   This class is a special offer of $10 per person, and is suitable for all levels of stampers, so bring along a friend and have fun! Class starts at 1.30pm, and should be finished by 4.00pm.  Phone me to register - places are limited to 10.   Thanks to Megan for teaching us how to make this card - it is VERY cute!

The other class coming up is Friday 07 November - $2 cards.  I have an open home from 6.30pm-10.00pm, so just drop in any time and make as many cards as you wish.  BYO Adhesive please, and give me a call or email if you are intending on dropping in.   My Inglewood High School class started last Thursday, and it's so great to be back there again - if you would like to join in, you can still  do so - just email me, and I can give you all the details.  Classes start at 7.30pm until 9.30pm for 8 weeks.

Hope you had a great long weekend - apart from the wind, the weather was pretty good yesterday, and we went fishing, and eeling & all sorts out at Onaero.  Lots of fun - apart from the boys wanting to eat the poor little eel.  Fortunately, we convinced them to let it go, and leave it to grow bigger for next time they come out!

Bad blogger... again! - AND a Kindy Fundraiser tomorrow night

Hello!   Once again, I find myself apologising for my shocking blogging absence - things happen, and blogging is one of the "easy" things to drop when times get busy.  But, I'm back - and here are the other three M&M's swaps that I was going to post for you all.  I'm sure you will agree that they were worth waiting for!

My girls are just soooo talented - I'm always amazed and impressed by what they come up with.  Me - I had to case a card for my swap!   It has been changed, but is still recognisable by the fabulous colours & stamp set that I believe Marelle Taylor used in her original card.

The STYLED SILVER HODGEPODGE  has arrived today, and it's Fab-u-lous.  I still have two shares available right now if you want to take 1/4 of the tin for just $17.50.   I'm going to try and get some time this week to make something wonderful with it.

Enjoy your evening - I'm off to the Kahikatea Kindergarten Fundraiser at St Chad's Church tomorrow night.  There are going to be more than 30 stalls - selling wonderful things.   You can just bowl along and buy your ticket from 7pm at the door for $8 per person, which includes a glass of wine, nibbles, and lots of spot prizes.  Hope to see you there!

Stamp Club today

Good evening - Thought I would show you one of the items we made at Stamp Club today.  It's called a Peek-A-Boo card, and I just love these cards.  They are very awesome to open and be "wowed" when the different picture slides across and into the space in the middle of your card.  Sounds kinda dumb when I'm typing this, but that's exactly what happens!  If you would like to learn how to make these, then you will have to come along to my WITT class.  This will be one of the many projects we make over the course of four weeks.  PA150027

I have no idea what's going on with the colours in these pictures, but you get the idea!  And no, I haven't forgotten about posting the other cards from our M&M's swap, BUT, as per usual, I left it too late to photograph them, and I really want to do them justice, so will have to post them tomorrow.  Hope you have all had a great day.

Take care!

Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware Share

I have been ogling this Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware in the Spring Mini catalogue for a while now, and finally, I've decided to share a tin with the first three people who contact me.     If you to have drooled over this hodgepodge, but haven't wanted to commit to a full tin, then this is your opportunity!

For $17.50 per person (that's free shipping) you will receive a 1/4 share of the styled silver Hodgepodge Hardware - approximately 25 embellishments plus brads.   I can't even show you something I've made with this beautiful hardware - because I don't yet have it!!  BUT, if you check out THIS card by Trudi, you will see what a stunning accessory it makes to any card.

First in, first served.  Email me (o2bstampin@hotmail.com) to book your spot.

FANTASTIC NEWS...

Yes, I've got some wonderful news for you - my Inglewood High School Class is even better value than ever...  This term the course will be for 8 weeks, and will cost you just $35.00 per person, plus $4.00 per night in expenses.  This is fantastic value for money - we will make two cards and one special project each week, so that works out at just $8.38 per week, including the charge for expenses!   The course starts NEXT THURSDAY, so ring Deborah Holmes at Inglewood High School (06 756 8148) or me (06 753 3736) to register.

STAMP CAMP

I have just FOUR places left if you are considering coming along to Stamp Camp in February.  The more I hear about what we are doing, the more excited I get, and I'll guarantee that it will be FABULOUS!   Remember, your place is not confirmed until I have received your deposit.  Full payment is not due until 15 January, so you have time to save up - maybe suggest it for a Christmas Gift if your DH is struggling for ideas.  Or, just do what I do, and tell him that this is what he has bought for you!   LOL.

I thought I would post the other card I made for World Card Making Day (which was fantastic!!) but couldn't find it - guess that's an indication that I need to clean up my office - again!   So instead, I thought I would leave you with some pics from our M&M's swap a couple of weeks ago.  Here they are...PA010008     PA010007

Black Magic

PA060015This is a card we made at Tracey's workshop recently.  Black Magic - that's the name of this technique, using white craft ink, a white gel pen and watercolour pencils.    First I stamped the flower from Blooming With Beauty with white craft ink, then I coloured it using the watercolour pencils (which I LOVE)!  After that, I used the white gel pen to highlight different parts of the flower & leaves.  Cool huh??   HUGE thanks to Kim Richards who made these cool cards a while ago, and showed us all how to do it!

RECIPE : Stamp sets: Blooming with Beauty, Season Of Joy, One of a Kind.  Cardstock/Ink:  Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, White Craft Ink, Versamark.  Accessories: Gold EP, White Gel Pen, Watercolour Pencils

If you would like a workshop or a "Class On The Go" at your home, (or mine) give me a call, and you can have fun making some cards with your friends as well!

BTW - I have a half finished stationery box that I had fun  making at Cherie's last night that I'm really really hoping to finish today!  I will post it for you all as soon as I complete it.

Season of Joy

Hello everyone!    Another wet day for school holidays.   Not good!  Thought I'd quickly share one of our cards from yesterday's Christmas Class with you all.  We had fun - making 16 cards in one go gives you a great feeling when you are done, despite all the cutting out we did.  Well done to you all!

PA060015

RECIPE : Stamp set: Season of Joy, Cardstock/Ink: Basic Black, Real Red, Glorious Green, Versmark.  Accessories: Dimensionals, Silver Brads, Silver Embossing Powder.

I have realised that I have not even posted the cards from our M&M's swap last Wednesday.  How very slack of me.  Sorry...

AND, here's the recipe mix for the Scratch N Sniff Card that some of you need.  Just mix 2/3 clear embossing powder with 1/3 sugar-free drink mix (i.e weight watchers drink).   Apply this mixture once you have versamarked your stamped image, then heat gently, ensuring you don't burn the mixture.

Have a great Monday
