Stamp Club this month

Good morning – I hope you are warm & cosy where you are – it’s absolutely freezing & miserable here, which means a wonderful day to stamp & stay inside – YAY!   I have Mason home sick with asthma, which always seems to be worst in the middle of the night, so we’ve been to the Dr to get that sorted, and now he’s happy playing with a new toy, so I’m getting myself organised for Stamp Club tomorrow & Wednesday.   One of my favourite (in fact, possibly my very favourite) card from convention swaps was done by the delightful Rebecca Trip.  Rebecca is incredibly talented, and so lovely, and her swap was just stunning – so much so that I’m going to use it for one of the projects this week at Stamp Club.

Stamp Club today

Good evening - Thought I would show you one of the items we made at Stamp Club today.  It's called a Peek-A-Boo card, and I just love these cards.  They are very awesome to open and be "wowed" when the different picture slides across and into the space in the middle of your card.  Sounds kinda dumb when I'm typing this, but that's exactly what happens!  If you would like to learn how to make these, then you will have to come along to my WITT class.  This will be one of the many projects we make over the course of four weeks.

I have no idea what's going on with the colours in these pictures, but you get the idea!  And no, I haven't forgotten about posting the other cards from our M&M's swap, BUT, as per usual, I left it too late to photograph them, and I really want to do them justice, so will have to post them tomorrow.  Hope you have all had a great day.

Stamp Club Projects

These were the sweetest little projects today - at least I really enjoyed making them.  I know some of you ladies found them a little fiddly, but at the end, they really are very cool!  The first is a (badly photographed) card shown from the front, then the inside.  It's really easy, and super cute.  Stamp set is the lovely Garden Whimsy.

The next project is a gift/candy holder using the So Swirly Wheel, and Baroque Motifs.  This is a case from a blog I've seen recently, and as soon as I find it, I'll post the link to the original (which incidentally looks exactly like mine! LOL)  And the final project is an acetate candy box - my favourite item.   Using (again) the So Swirly Wheel, and the wonderful scallop punch, as well as Circle of Friendship.   This box was possibly filled with something like brightly coloured M&M's at one stage today, but my self-control left me, and I ate the lot of them, so had to find something real quick to replace them with so I could fill it up for a photo.  All I could find was some stinkin' Milk Bottles (which I don't really like, which is why there are still some of those in my cupboard!)  Doesn't quite look as good, but you get the idea!   If you would like the template for this box, then you'll have to leave me a comment.  Hope you day's been great - I'm so tired, and am heading to bed before my DH even gets home!

Stamp Club for February

Hello everyone!  Thought I'd like to show you a couple of the things we made today with our Stamp Club

Sour Cream Valentines Container

This looks nothing like MY sour cream containers, but apparently they used to be served like this somewhere - not sure where!  A very easy & cute little project, filled with chocolate of course!    

1. Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 12cm X12cm.  Decorate with stamps - I used Loads of Love on So Saffron Cardstock.
2.  Add sticky tape to one side (doesn't matter which side -- it's square so pick any side) -- and roll it up and stick it together.  It will look like a toilet paper roll.
3.  Seal one end of your roll with sticky tape.  Add your goodies into the container.  This is important.   Unless you plan on giving someone you love (or hate) a container full of nothing, this step is crucial. 
4.   Close up the other end of your container, but seal it crosswise from the way you sealed the other end.  This is how you get the "twisted"  look of the sour cream containers you get in restaurants.
5.  Then just make a little matching tag and you have a cute gift!   IMPORTANT STEP : EAT THE REMAINDER OF THE CHOCOLATES YOU'VE GOT LEFT FROM FILLILNG ONE OF THESE LITTLE GIFTS.   THIS WILL REMIND YOU HOW MUCH FUN STAMPING CAN BE!!

STAMP CLUB DATES FOR 2008

Ooops, for got about the dates for Stamp Club for 2008 - here they are.
Stamp Club #1 - Meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 11.00am-1.00pm.This is an existing club that is going to do another round ('cos we've had so much fun together!), and has only two spaces still available. First date for 2008 will be Wednesday 13th February.


Stamp Club #2 - A new Stamp Club, which will begin meeting on the Second Monday of each month from 7.30pm-9.30pm. First date for 2008 will be Monday 11th February

Stamp Club #3 - Another new Stamp Club, which will begin meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, from 9.30am-11.30am. First date for 2008 will be Tuesday 12th February.

Each stamp club is based on 10 members, each purchasing a minimum of $35.00 per month. If this has really confused you, then please give me a call - it took me several tries before I actually understood the concept, but it's a good one!

Look forward to meeting with some of you on a regular basis.
