What's that set called??

 P9280330    P9280331

P9280332

Yes, I can hear you asking.   THAT set is called "Live Your Dream", and has not yet been released in New Zealand, but as Stampin' Up! Demos, we got this set for free on Saturday when we had our Regional Training.   How cool is that!!  We made a couple of things with this new set, and I've got to say that I LOVE IT!  Oh, have you noticed something else that you haven't seen in our catalogue??  YES - A SQUARE SCALLOP PUNCH!   Wooohooo!  AND, we are also getting a fabulous new straight scallop edge punch, that makes scalloping super fast!   LOVE THEM ALL.   Unfortunately, despite bribing the lovely Emma from Stampin' Up! in Auckland to let us take a punch home, we came home without them, so we will be waiting to see when these will come into our catalogue - here's hoping the next Mini Catalogue huh?!

Well - that's two posts in one day, and that would be because the weather is stink here today.  I really struggle to be inside in front of my computer when the sun is out.  I've snatched a couple of hours this week to sit out in the sun with scrapbooking magazines, and have really enjoyed it.  Yesterday we even went to the river with the kids & the dog and went swimming.   OK, so maybe I didn't quite get in the water, but I WAS in my togs.  The water was freezing, but despite that, the boys all got in with the dog, and it was a great taste of the summer to come.  Hope you all made the most of your day!

STAMP CAMP!

Good morning everyone.  I'm sorry that I've not been posting this week.  Last week of school before the holidays and trying to get a few big projects finished has meant I've just not got there!  BUT, I've got some exciting things to tell you....   After a bit of talking and thinking, I am delighted to be able to offer to 10 of my customers the opportunity to come and stamp with me & 6 other demos for a whole weekend.  How cool is that going to be???!   Everything is finalised - dates, location, cost, and FUN.

Friday 13-Sunday 15 February 2009 at Vertical Horizons Camp, Everett Road, Inglewood.  Camp will include six classes, lots of door prizes, give-aways, displays & product/technique demonstrations.  There will be opportunities for you to stamp & scrap during some "down-time" AND all without children, husbands, or having to cook dinner or do laundry!  BLISS!

I'm really excited to be involved in this camp, but I can only take 10 guests, so it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

COST : $200 per person includes all classes, accommodation & yummy food for the full weekend, or $150 per person for day campers who don't want the fun of sleeping over with other addicted stampers!

Give me a call if you want more details - last date for full payment is 15th January.  You can pay a $50 deposit to secure your place, and pay the balance off between now and 15th January if that's easier.

I'll try and post some STAMPING today - I've have been doing some!

Happy Friday!

We have some winners...

Hello everyone!   Yes, I've been absent again...   I had the most fantastic birthday yesterday, and really the whole week has been just the best!  Great, but busy.  Thank you to all of you who contributed to such a great week.   I was truly spoilt.  So now that my birthday is over for another year, I have had to draw some winners.   I used the random number generator, and for my blog candy, I was given number 6, which is Rel - congratulations, the Spring Solitude Bundle is yours!   And for my Birthday Week Special - the winner was number 12, which was Julie B.  Well done Julie - just by placing an order with me this week, you have won a $100 Stampin' Up! Voucher to spend on whatever you wish!

Thanks to everyone who participated, and well done to the two winners.

The cutest shoe

Yep, I'm a shoe addict!   Admission is the first step to cure, so I've heard, but to be honest, I don't think I want to be cured from this addiction!   I LOVE SHOES!   I think this love stems from the knowledge that you ALWAYS fit your shoes - you don't have "FAT" shoes, like some of us have "FAT" clothes.   Your feet don't get fat, so your shoes always fit.  How cool!   So, here is the sweetest little shoe that was one of our projects at this month's Stamp Club.

P9130284

I filled this shoe with chocolate mint sticks - chocolate, my other addiction!   If you would like me to email you the template for this simple shoe, then leave a comment on this post.   P9130283

Have a fantastic day - I'LL BE BACK!

Classes updated

Good afternoon!   I have just added a couple of classes to my list on the right - check out if you would like to attend any, and let me know.  Don't forget - if you purchase $100.00 or more worth of Stampin' Up Products in one order, you can attend any class (maximum of $15.00) for free!

We are having a Tower Box class this Sunday at 2.00pm.   Let me know if you are coming along to make this very special gift box.   Cost $15.00.

Tomorrow at Stamp Club we are making a very cute project - I will post the picture of that after we have made it, just so I don't spoil the surprise for the ladies tonight.

P9050278  In the meantime, here is a fabulous card given to me by my friend Cherie.  Isn't this card just amazing?!  In real life, it really is better still.  Thanks Cherie - you are so great at making these wonderful cards!  Cherie is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in the M&M's team, and constantly challenges me to use things I wouldn't normally use, like card colours - you know the ones - they are always the same colours left at the end of your pack that you really don't like using.  Cherie does the same herself, and has surprised herself by creating some wonderful cards just by going outside of her comfort zone.   What's your favourite, and least favourite Stampin' Up! colour?   My favourite at the moment would have to be Purely Pomegranate, and probably my least favourite... ummmm Taken with Teal.

Enjoy your evening!   Remember, if you want to order from my Spring Special for this week, you have until 7pm tomorrow night to place your Free-Wheeln' order and receive a free Stampin' Around handle.  Look out for my new special tomorrow.

See you at the show~!

I've been setting up today at Pukekura Raceway Function Centre for the Horticultural Society Show that is happening THIS WEEKEND!   Come by and see us, and all the fabulous other displays there - times are 12.30pm-4.00pm Saturday, and 9.30am-4.00pm Sunday.   There's a prize draw for a Stampin' Up! goodie package, plus we will be doing a demonstration every hour on the hour.

Love to see you there!

P9050280

Suddenly, I thought I wouldn't be able to post a card today, as all my cards are up with the display, but I found one!  This one is called a Split Negative, and we made it at the Technique Class last weekend.  It was possibly the simplest card to make, but it really is quite effective.  I first saw this technique on Sharlene's blog ages ago, and finally got around to having a go at it myself.   And no, before you ask, my brads are not crooked - it's an optical illusion.  Your eyes are playing tricks on you, as I'm really really good at putting my brads on straight!  LOL - NOT!

RECIPE : Stampsets : Lovely As A Tree.  Cardstock/Ink : Really Rust, Basic Black, Whisper White.  Accessories : Versamark, White EP, Black EP, Brads & Heat Gun.

Have a wonderful weekend - hope to post something for you tomorrow, but we'll just wait and see how exhausted I am after the day!

This card was created by Kim for our M&M's to make, using the Black Magic Technique.  Check out Kim's blog (on the sidebar) for details on how to do it.

Thanks Kim - this card rocks!

And this delicious creation was given to my boys (one to each of them) from the lovely Jacqui!   Jacqui doesn't have a blog - YET - so only a few of us get to see her amazing creations.  Jacqui - you are just so sweet.  Needless to say, the boys devoured the chocolate coins (bummer I couldn't break into them without being seen!), and were most impressed with Jacqui!

Have a fantastic day - we've got another absolutely gorgeous one!  Oh, AND, my DH has just phoned to tell me I'm in the paper - apparently you can see me and one of the guys we sat with at the All Blacks match last night!   Famous!  Yeah Rite!   I'm sure you'd need to have a magnifying glass to really tell it was me!

The Wylde Women award!!

Ok, so I was awarded this award on the 4th of August, and I've just not been a good blogger, and haven't acknowledged it!   SO SORRY SARA!   HERE is Sara Frawley's blog, from whom I received this award.  Sara is one of our lovely SBS10 Sistahs who is so incredibly talented, and honest, and is always someone who leaves lovely comments on other people's blogs.   Go and check out her blog, and leave her a comment.

Here are the Rules:-

1. You can give it to 1 or 100 or any number in between - it's up to you.

Make sure you link their site on this post.

2. Link back to this blog.

3. Remember the purpose of this award:

To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.

I'd like to give this award to a couple of women in particular -

Megan - who is very giving, and encouraging, and is always teaching me wonderful things "just because".  Check out Megan's blog, and see what she has been up to recently!

Kim - again another very generous and sweet person, who always inspires me with her AMAZING cards.  Kim doesn't realise how very talented she is, but I do!   You go Kim - one day I'll be saying "I know her", when you are published in all the top cardmaking magazines!!

Tracey - the sweetest lady who sends cards to others, even when her own life is extra-ordinarily busy & stressful.  Trace - lots of love to you & your family!

Sharlene - not only someone who never says NO to coffee, or an impromptu trip to go and do "jobs" with me uptown (and of course the compulsory coffee while we are doing the jobs!), but also my sister!

Claire - someone who I admire both for her creativity and her kindness!   Claire - I wish you lived closer (i.e in New Zealand!) so I could come and stamp with you now and then.

Thanks to all of you (and many others who don't YET have a blog - Jacqui, Helen, Cherie, Rel) who live your lives fully, with generosity & joy.   There are so many others who I could nominate, but think I've got a bit carried away, and you don't want to hear me dribble on, so to you other women who inspire so many people, including me - THANK YOU!

Wooohooo!! SPRING!

Yep - it's here.  The most beautiful fresh day we've had in ages.  Made me strip all the beds, shake out all the mats, and clean the aluminium joinery!   Really is spring fever huh!

Anyway, I realised that I have ripped you all off - I didn't post the rest of the swaps I got from our M&M's swap last week.  They are so fabulous, so here are five more from our team members who live up in the sunny North!  And there's some more coming along tomorrow.  Promise.

Enjoy this fabulous weather - I'm off to pick up the walking school bus soon, to walk a bunch of kids home.  Should be fun in the lovely sun for a change.
