In The Spotlight

Good afternoon.  Here is a quick card that I made with one of the level 2 hostess sets - In the Spotlight.  Helen kindly let me borrow her brand new set to have a play, so the pressure was on the come up with a card, and of course, the more you try, the worse your ideas get!   Nothing seemed to work, and after throwing aside the first few attempts, this card came together really quickly - about 5 minutes before I left to go to a workshop, and then have lunch with Helen.  Amazing! In The Spotlight 001

RECIPE : STAMP SETS: In the Spotlight (Hostess Level 2), Baroque Motifs.  CARD/INK: Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery, Whisper White.  ACCESSORIES: 5 Petal Flower punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Paper Crimper, Celery 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Gold Brads.    Notice the paper crimping??  I finally bought myself a SU Paper Crimper, and I just love it.   Really don't know why I kept putting it off now.   I've just had a box of SU delivered to my door, so look out for some new cards over the weekend (DH is working all weekend) that I make with some of the new stamp sets I ordered.  Can't wait to play!   Now, back to washing windows, and hanging out washing.  Yes, I know.  I don't WASH windows, but this morning, I just couldn't warm up, so decided to do some manual labour, and that did the trick.  AND now my windows are clean.  Hopefully.   The proof will be about 4.00pm when the sun hits the big ranchsliders at the front of our house - then I'll see if I really cleaned them, or just moved the dirt around into different patterns! LOL.

Have a great Friday

Michelle

Oh, and BTW, I didn't burn the roast last night.  I undercooked it!  Had to put everything back in the oven, in order to avoid giving my family all food-poisioning!  Thanks Mum & Dad for your patience, and for looking after the boys!  FMILY
